The Records Division processes all clerical
paperwork, disseminates, stores and retrieves information in a timely
fashion for police staff, local, state and federal agencies while providing
police services to the community in the most effective manner.
HOURS
OF OPERATION: 6 am to 6 pm Monday - Friday
Staffed by a Records Supervisor and five records clerks and overseen
by the Support Services Commander.

DIRECTIONS: We are located 2061 Third
Street, between “C” and “D” Streets, one block
south of Bonita Avenue and directly across the street from the University
of La Verne. Going east on the 210 freeway, exit Foothill Blvd east
to “D” street [five (5) stoplights from the freeway off
ramp], make a right on “D” Street (going south) for approximately
one mile to Bonita Avenue. Cross Bonita Avenue to Third Street, make
a right (going west). There is a big green sign “PUBLIC
SAFETY FACILITY – POLICE AND FIRE” on your right
in front of the Police Station. Parking is available directly in front
of the station (green zone).
RELEASE OF REPORTS:
Copies of approved releasable reports can be obtained between 6am to
5pm Monday - Friday.

Arrests Reports Available at Court
Traffic Collision Non-Injury - $25.00
Calls for service - $20.00
Please bring photo ID and exact cash or personal check—no change
will be made. Some requests may take up to 10 days to process if not
processed over the counter.
CITATION SIGN-OFFS: (Traffic and parking violations)
The service is performed by an on-duty officer or police aide for verification
of equipment repair, registration 4000(a) VC and missing tab 5204(a)
VC among other violations. Please have the vehicle and citation at the
station for inspection when you come in. There is a $10.00 sign off
fee for a non-resident or a non La Verne citation.
PARKING PERMITS:
Temporary: $3.00 per night up to five (5) nights from the overnight
parking machine located at the Police Department.
Permanent: $100.00 for the first year, $50.00 renewal each year after.
Applicant must fill out application form and submit a fee. A temporary
will be given for one month until it is checked out at no charge. If
approved, a sticker will sent to the applicant within 30 days of application.
VEHICLE RELEASES. Release of stored or impounded vehicles
can be obtained 7 days a week, 24 hours a day through the Records or
Communications Division.
Release fees:
Standard storage -------------$150.00
DUI/Reckless --------------------$400.00
To obtain a release of a stored/impounded vehicle, you must present
all, some or a combination of the following:
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proof of current registration.
• Proof that you are the current registered or legal owner.
• If the vehicle was taken for 30 days due to a licensing
violation, the registered owner (if the driver at time of impoundment)
must have some proof of ID and have a second person with a valid
driver’s license to get vehicle released.
• 30 day impounds may be released earlier than the 30 days
with reinstatement of the driver’s license and proof of current
vehicle insurance.
• Payment of appropriate fees - exact cash or check only (no
change will be made).
You must first obtain a release form from the police department
prior picking up at the tow yard. The vehicles are stored at
Sanders Towing, 344 W. Arrow Hwy, San Dimas, CA 91773. Their fees
will vary with the type of vehicle stored and the time elapsed since
the
date of storage. Please contact them directly at (909) 599-3838

fee schedule.
RELEASE OF PROPERTY. Property can be released BY APPOINTMENT
ONLY through the Property Officer or Detective Bureau Supervisor. Call
(909) 596-1913 ext. 230.
SUBPOENAS. Subpoenas for records on CIVIL ACTIONS
should be served on the Records Supervisor who acts as the Custodian
of Records. Please attach a $15.00 for processing of such records. Subpoenas
for police personnel appearances should be served at City Hall, 3660
“D” Street, La Verne, CA 91750. Attach a fee of $150.00
for each day for each officer. City Hall will forward the subpoena to
the police department for service on the officer(s). Civil subpoenas
require 15 days between date of service and actual appearance to allow
for adequate notification.
REGISTRANTS. All persons required to register (sex,
narcotics and arson) should contact the Community Services Supervisor
for an appointment between 7am – 4pm, Monday through Thursday
