Protect Yourself From Vehicle Burglaries

The La Verne Police Department has become aware of several instances of vehicles being burglarized for their personal GPS devices, GPS devices are being left in plain view on the seat or attached to the windshields of vehicles. The GPS device is easy to conceal on a person after it is stolen and can be sold easily at a discounted price. Since GPS devices are expensive and do not need to be registered to operate, it is the perfect gift for thieves.

REMINDER!

  • Do not leave your valuables in plain view in your vehicle.
  • Always lock your GPS navigation device, computer laptops, cell phones, purses, iPods, wallets, etc. in your trunk OR take your valuables with you.
  • ALWAYS remember to lock your vehicle!
  • Do not make it EASY for the bad guys!
